CNLegal.ru is a website (law blog or blawg) dedicated to recent developments in Chinese law. The website is created and maintained by SBF Group Co., Ltd (SBF Group), a legal service provider incorporated in Hong Kong. Most of our clients are Russian and Russophone people, that’s why most of the information here is in Russian.

Since 2012, we have discussed various aspects of Chinese law, including civil law, commercial law, tax law, labour law etc. The website is currently divided into 19 categories: administrative law; accounting and audit; visas and tourism (legal updates on visas and laws affecting tourism activity); Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan (mostly – Hong Kong law and legal updates on Chinese laws affecting these regions); civil, criminal, and administrative procedure in China; civil law (basic information and legal updates); intellectual property rights in China; taxation in China; business law; dispute resolution in China; incorporation in China; Singapore news; social security; Chinese labour law; Chinese criminal law; export and import (legal updates on foreign trade); our company news; general law review; and other information. Most information is related to our practice: for example, we have written about Chinese tax treaties and withholding taxes, VIE structures, recent corporate and tax reforms in China, Chinese labour law and regulations.

Since 2014 we have written and co-authorized few books in Russian: PRC Civil Procedure Law (link to a website in Russian), a book published at Infotropic-Media Publishing House, which contains Russian translation of Civil Procedure Law of PRC with explanatory notes; Legal Aspects of Doing Business in China (link to a website in Russian), a book on the legal framework of doing business in China, e.g. Chinese foreign investment regulation, corporate law, intellectual property law, tax law, and labor law; Foreign Banking Law (Banking Law of European Union, France, Switzerland, Germany, US, China) (link to a website in Russian), published in 2016 by Moscow State Academy of Law.

Our firm provides China-related business services, including market entry consulting, business incorporation, verification of Chinese companies, trademark registration. We maintain strong ties with Chinese lawyers and accountants to assist our clients with tax optimization, intellectual property protection, and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in China.
